Bruno Barrueto-Deza is a professional pickleball player and a native of Lima, Peru. He came to the sport from tennis, having played college tennis at Davis and Elkins College and Utah Valley University before graduating from Menlo College. Earlier, he had a background in badminton, which he played before taking up tennis to earn a U.S. college scholarship. Barrueto-Deza began summering in Vail, Colorado, intending to coach tennis, and discovered pickleball there before pursuing the pro circuit. He competes on the PPA Tour and is a sponsored athlete with Komodo Pickleball.
