Cynthia Tow McPherson is a former Division I tennis standout, college coach and brief professional tennis player who earned a full scholarship to play Division I tennis and graduated in 2001. She later attended law school at Northeastern University, where she directs the private sector in the School of Law's Center for Co-op and Career Development. McPherson first picked up pickleball during a family "Olympics" driveway event on Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts, at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, and now plays, teaches and competes in the sport.
