Daniel Moore was born in Atlanta, and his family moved to Japan when he was seven months old, where he grew up. During his junior year of high school the family moved back to the United States, settling in Colorado Springs. Moore played tennis at Azusa Pacific University before being introduced to pickleball by his father in 2014. In 2017 he won men's doubles titles at the Spanish Open and the USAPA Nationals. Beyond competition, he has traveled widely to teach the sport, with stops across Asia and a period living in Kenya. At the 2025 PPA Tour Asia Sansan Fukuoka Open in Japan, he entered the mixed doubles alongside Kei Sawaki.
