Elina Geut is a professional pickleball player who also works as a civil engineer, serving as an assistant project manager at Civil and Environmental Consultants Inc. in Knoxville, Tennessee. Originally from Jalalabad, Kyrgyzstan, she moved with her family to Orenburg, Russia, at age 7 so she could attend a tennis academy. She received a full-ride scholarship to play tennis at the University of Tennessee at Martin, where she competed for four years and graduated with a bachelor's degree in engineering in 2018. She later earned a master's degree in civil and environmental engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in 2020. A former competitive tennis player, Geut has said she came to prefer pickleball, which she found easier on an arm she injured during college. Her professional pickleball career began in 2024 with her first tournament, held in Atlanta.
