Emilia Schmidt is a pickleball player from Brisbane City, Australia, and a former tennis player who transitioned to the sport. She was the No. 1 draft pick in the inaugural season of Major League Pickleball Australia, and in 2024 she relocated to the United States to pursue a professional pickleball career. Competing in the APP Next Gen series, Schmidt won her third straight APP Next Gen title in Kansas City, adding to earlier titles in San Antonio and St. Louis. Partnering fellow Australian Danni-Elle Townsend, she reached the final of the Newport Beach Open to earn her first APP silver medal. She has also reached the quarterfinals at the 2025 US Open.
