Emily Ackerman is an American professional pickleball player from Thousand Oaks, California. Before turning to pickleball, she played Division I tennis at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where she was a three-time All-Big West first-team selection in doubles. She first tried pickleball in 2020 after Cal Poly's season was cut short by COVID-19, and later decided to pursue the sport professionally. Ahead of her transition to the pro ranks, she earned her first career sponsorship from Volair Pickleball and was drafted by the Chicago Slice in Major League Pickleball. She competes on the Major League Pickleball (MLP) and APP tours.
