Etta Tuionetoa, whose official PPA Tour profile also lists her as Etta Wright, is a professional pickleball player who competes on the PPA Tour in women's singles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles, and is part of the roster of athletes in Major League Pickleball. She grew up playing a wide range of sports—netball, touch rugby, basketball, soccer, field hockey and tennis—and was especially drawn to tennis, playing on the varsity team at Brigham Young University in Hawaii. In 2018, her uncle introduced her to pickleball, and her athletic background helped her take to the game naturally. On the PPA Tour she uses the JOOLA Ben Johns Perseus Pro IV paddle. Away from the court, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, watching Downton Abbey, and learning new languages.
