Jhonnatan Medina-Álvarez is a Venezuelan-born professional pickleball player who competes on the PPA Tour and the APP Tour. Before pickleball, his former discipline was tennis: he was a professional player who reached a career-high ATP singles ranking of 370 in 2007, and he became an American citizen in 2016. A left-handed player from Caracas, he has been a top singles competitor on the APP Tour, where he earned multiple medals in 2023, including gold in men's singles at the APP Atlanta Open. Off the court, he is a published author and a cohost of the Spanish-language pickleball podcast "Línea de Fondo."
