A native of Spain, Judit Castillo grew up in the village of Mosqueruela and the city of Teruel before pursuing tennis. She competed as a student-athlete at Northwestern State University of Louisiana (NCAA Division I) and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Health and Exercise Science and a Master of Science in Sports Administration. Castillo competed in her first pro pickleball tournament at the Texas Open in 2022, then left her tennis pro and personal training job to become a full-time pickleball professional in February 2023. She competes on the PPA Tour in women's singles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles, and was crowned champion in women's singles at the 2024 Veolia Austin Open.
