Lea Jansen is an American professional pickleball player who grew up in Spokane, Washington, where she competed in tennis from the age of eight. She went on to play college tennis at Washington State University, where she became conference player of the year and a first-team NAIA All-American, and she graduated with a degree in accounting along with an MBA in healthcare management. Her longtime childhood friend Tyson McGuffin persuaded her to begin playing pickleball during the summer of 2019. Jansen, who manages Type 1 diabetes, competes on the PPA Tour and resides in Austin, Texas.
