Lee Whitwell is a professional pickleball player who competes on the APP Tour. Born in Gibraltar, she grew up playing tennis and became a Division II national champion, capturing consecutive doubles titles in 1993 and 1994 at Francis Marion University in South Carolina. A left-handed player nicknamed "Lady Gibraltar," she was voted Major League Pickleball's Most Valuable Player in both 2021 and 2022. Fans also dubbed her "The Dragon Slayer" for her on-court achievements. Beyond competition, Whitwell serves as APP Next National Team Coach, working alongside Chad Edwards to mentor and develop emerging players.
