Luana Stanciu is a professional pickleball player from Romania who competes on the PPA Tour in women's singles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles. Originally from Bucharest, she came to pickleball from a background in high-level tennis: under coach Moraru Gabriel at the G&M Tennis Academy she reached top rankings in Romania's U16 and U18 age groups, then earned a scholarship at the University of Louisiana and helped win a Sun Belt Championship. In 2017 she took a full scholarship in the women's tennis program at the University of South Dakota, and in 2020 she graduated with a master's in Kinesiology and Sports Management. Stanciu discovered pickleball through open play in 2023 and committed to competitive play in 2024, turning pro in 2025. She is based in Austin, Texas, is sponsored by Selkirk, and has competed in Major League Pickleball.
