Lucy Kovalova is a professional pickleball player originally from Slovakia who resides in Wichita, Kansas. A native of Slovakia and a member of its junior national tennis team, she came to the United States in 2011 to play collegiate tennis for Wichita State University, where she later earned an MBA in 2019. She started playing pickleball in the fall of 2015, made the switch from tennis the same year, and turned pro in 2016. On the PPA Tour she competes in women's and mixed doubles, playing mixed doubles with her long-time on-and-off-court partner Matt Wright, and she describes herself as a US National Champion and Triple Crown winner. Away from competition, she teaches pickleball and tennis at a country club in Wichita.
