Mari Humberg is a Brazilian professional pickleball player who was born in São Paulo and moved between Brazil and the United States while growing up. Before pickleball she was a competitive tennis player who competed in national and international tournaments across four continents, earned a full scholarship to Winthrop University in South Carolina, and finished her college tennis career at the University of Louisville after transferring her junior year. She earned an undergraduate degree in Economics from Louisville in 2018 and a Master's in Business Analytics there in 2020, and worked at ElToro.com, eventually as VP of Ad Operations, before turning to professional pickleball. She started playing pickleball in August 2022 and competed in her first pro tournament that December.
