Michael Loyd is a professional pickleball player from the United States who competes on the PPA Tour. According to the PPA Tour, Loyd grew up all over Texas playing basketball and tennis, and went on to play Division 1 tennis at University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. He found pickleball in 2020 as a way to exercise during the pandemic, then picked up a paddle again in 2022 after finishing his MBA and his collegiate tennis career. Loyd worked for HEAD pickleball after college and began pursuing pro pickleball in September of 2023. He competes in men's singles, men's doubles, and mixed doubles.
