Rachael James is an American professional pickleball player from Detroit, Michigan. She came to the sport from tennis, which she played for more than twenty years, competing collegiately at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill before moving to Florida and taking her first pickleball lesson at the Delray Tennis Center alongside her mother. James became a full-time professional pickleball player on August 1, 2023. Beyond competing, she is the founder of Pickle Pros, a platform she describes as designed to support aspiring pro pickleball players by providing them with a way to earn money.
