Sofia Sewing is an American professional pickleball player and former professional tennis player. She grew up in the Doral area of Florida and is bilingual in Spanish, with an Ecuadorian father. In tennis she reached a career-high ITF junior ranking of world No. 9 and was recruited by the University of Miami, before chronic knee issues led her to leave the tennis tour in April 2024. She picked up a pickleball paddle for the first time that same month and joined the APP Tour full-time in 2025. Among her wins that year were the singles title at the 2025 Vlasic Classic in Daytona Beach and the singles crown at the 2025 USA Pickleball National Championships.
