Tama Shimabukuro is a professional pickleball player born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, who competes on the PPA Tour in men's singles, men's doubles, and mixed doubles. He turned pro in 2025 and plays right-handed. Before pickleball, his athletic background was in skateboarding and surfing, and he began playing the sport only a couple of years before joining the tour. He signed a three-year PPA Tour contract, which Selkirk Sport described as making him "one of the youngest players ever to enter the pro circuit." At the 2025 Sansan Fukuoka Open on PPA Tour Asia, the teenager produced a singles upset over the event's third seed, a result PPA Tour Asia called his "breakthrough day."
