Travis Rettenmaier is an American professional pickleball player who competes on the PPA Tour in men's singles, men's doubles, and mixed doubles. Before pickleball he was a professional tennis player: per Wikipedia he "entered UCLA at age 16 and competed for two years for the UCLA Bruins before turning pro," then "turned professional in 2002 and retired in 2012," reaching a career-high doubles ranking of "World No. 57, which he achieved on July 12, 2010." The same source notes that in 2022 he "became the first owner/player of a Major League Pickleball team," co-owning the Florida Smash. A right-hander, he is known on the pickleball circuit by the nickname "The Rattlesnake" and also co-hosts a pickleball podcast.
